Loch Bar

Overview

Loch Bar at 346 Plaza Real, Boca Raton, FL 33432, United States, has quickly become one of my go-to spots whenever I crave a combination of great food and a lively, yet relaxed atmosphere. From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted by a warm, inviting space where casual elegance meets modern design. The staff immediately makes you feel welcome, balancing attentiveness with a laid-back charm that’s hard to find in chain restaurants. On my first visit, I remember being struck by the subtle attention to detail-thoughtfully arranged tables, soft ambient lighting, and a bar area that invites conversation without feeling chaotic.

One of the standout experiences at this diner is the menu, which offers a wide array of options ranging from fresh seafood to perfectly grilled meats. I tried the grilled salmon with lemon herb butter, and the texture and flavor were spot on. It’s clear that the chefs at Loch Bar prioritize quality ingredients and proper preparation methods. The menu isn’t just a list of items-it’s a carefully curated selection where each dish is crafted with balance in mind. Seasonal specials are highlighted, giving diners a reason to return regularly. For instance, their summer citrus-infused scallops were a delightful surprise, demonstrating the restaurant’s commitment to creative, fresh offerings.

Reviews from other guests often highlight the consistency in both food and service. Many have shared how the staff goes out of their way to accommodate dietary restrictions, which reflects a level of professionalism that aligns with industry standards outlined by organizations such as the National Restaurant Association. It’s not just about serving food; it’s about creating an experience where customers feel valued and understood.

In my professional experience working in hospitality, I’ve noticed that locations like Loch Bar thrive because they seamlessly blend quality, consistency, and atmosphere. The open kitchen design allows diners to observe the preparation process, which not only reassures guests of cleanliness and care but also builds trust in the kitchen’s expertise. Studies in consumer behavior suggest that visible cooking areas enhance perceived freshness, a detail Loch Bar utilizes effectively.

Another remarkable feature is their beverage selection. From craft cocktails to locally sourced beers, the bar offers drinks that complement the dishes perfectly. On one occasion, I tried their signature smoked Old Fashioned, which paired beautifully with the truffle fries, creating a balanced flavor profile that lingered pleasantly. Their wine list is thoughtfully curated, emphasizing both popular and lesser-known vintages, which encourages patrons to explore new tastes while still offering familiar options.

The location at 346 Plaza Real is convenient, nestled within a vibrant area of Boca Raton. Its accessibility makes it ideal for both casual lunch meetings and evening gatherings with friends or family. Parking is easy, and the surrounding neighborhood adds to the charm, creating a complete dining experience beyond just the food and drinks.

I’ve also had the chance to witness the staff in action during busier hours, and the level of coordination and attentiveness stands out. The servers remember repeat customers, offer personalized recommendations, and maintain a genuine enthusiasm for the menu, which is something that builds lasting relationships with the local community. Authority in the restaurant industry often comes from consistently delivering these human touches, and Loch Bar embodies that principle.

In summary, dining at Loch Bar is more than just a meal-it’s an immersive experience where quality, expertise, and atmosphere intersect naturally. Whether you’re there for a quick bite or an extended dinner, every visit feels thoughtfully designed to satisfy both taste buds and the desire for comfort. With its prime location at 346 Plaza Real, Boca Raton, FL 33432, United States, and an attentive, professional team, it’s easy to see why this restaurant has earned a loyal following.

The ambiance is fabulous. The live music really was very enjoyable. Singer/guitarist one man show. Our server was fabulous. I did not care for the oyster shooters. I’m expecting cocktail sauce to be spicy and it tasted closer to BBQ sauce than ketchup with horseradish. Loved the blackberry oysters but the blue points were a bit different from many I’ve had in the past. The lobster roll was a total fireworks display on my tongue, totally recommend. And the red velvet cake really scratched that itch. Vodka martini extra dirty extra dry… needed way more olive juice but my server fixed it for me twice. Filthy dirty means hold the vermouth and gimme that olive juice, bartender!! It came out clear every time. Appreciation to the valet right out front.

Head to Boca Raton for Maryland crab cakes? Why not! Downtown in Mizner Park you'll find a wealth of dining options, not the least of which is this bar/restaurant with live music, outdoor seating, and plenty of tasty food. These crab cakes are crab, not filler, the clams are tender, and the fish delish. Lovedd those cornbread hush puppies! Service was personable and we had a pleasant time sitting outside and people watching.

Oysters were pretty good, waitresses are very beautiful. The Sirloin steak wasn’t too enjoyable though, unfortunately. This was my second time coming, first time the oysters were yet again really good! Wish they had more varieties of hot sauce. Thank you!

Loved this place in Boca Raton! My friend and I went here for happy hour and the deal is top notch. We ordered their petit charcuterie board to pair with our wines and it was the perfect portion before we headed out for dinner :) outdoor seating was nice as we enjoyed our drinks and apps and our server was helpful. Would recommend this place for a good time out with friends or your date!

Best happy hour in Boca Raton. Great specials. We all tried the Crush drinks, orange was amazing, grapefruit and lemon were both very good. We had some fried pickles, 2 orders, and the $2 chef choice oysters you can't beat, except on Tuesdays when they are $1. Both types of crab soup were great. The chicken wrap was definitely one of the best I had ever had. The grilled chicken was perfect with the avocado and greens, fantastic. The staff was so nice and attentive. Even Jeff, the manager, came by and chatted with us for a while. Thanks to everyone there working together to make it a great happy hour. Will definitely come back on Tuesday.

Went with friends on a Friday night before going to The Studio at Mizner Park for a concert. Got there at 5:45 and the place was quiet but by 6:30, it was packed. I ordered the Sunset Dinner, great deal, choice of soup or salad, entrée, dessert, and a glass of wine. Only $12 more than just ordering the entrée. Started with the Maryland Crab Soup , jumbo lump crab meat, mixed vegetable medley, and fingerling potato in an aromatic broth. Very flavorful and a nice hint of spice. For the main. tried the Florida Black Grouper over potato hash with a sweet corn puree , micro arugula salad, and chili oil. Very nice dish and a nice portion. My wife thinks they have the BEST crab cakes, can either 1 or 2 and comes with French fries. Great. For dessert, I tried the Key Lime Pana Cotta with toasted coconut granola and my wife ordered the Red Velvet Cake with whipped cream and raspberry glaze , both were very good. The sunset dinner is a great deal. To get a 5* rating, they need staff to know who ordered what without asking and not clearing the table until everyone is finished.

Blown away. Best meal I have had in several years. Every bite was amazing....no lie. We were at Mizner for a show, and everything was pretty much packed. We were lucky enough to get a table and Loch Bar and man what an experience! From the drinks to the food, this place was perfection. Seriously. We ordered some drinks, a pear martini that was really refreshing, and a tequila old fashioned that was smoky, spicy, and opened the eyes of this bourbon loyalist to new cocktail possibilities. What ended up on the table for the four of us to share was the Tuna Poke (the dressing, oh my god..), an order of the hushpuppies (crispy and served with delicious remoulade), oysters Rockefeller (a classic), a perfect shrimp cocktail (u10 shrimp were amazing), a couple cups of the Maryland Crab soup (silky broth and big flavor), a lobster roll (buttery perfection, lobster wasn't overdressed!!), and a Crab Grilled Cheese. So I saved the Crab Grilled Cheese for last because it can only be described as ridiculous. It was so indulgent with several kinds of cheese, bacon, crabmeat, and grilled tomatoes on the most amazing toasted bread. Arguably one of the best sandwiches I have ever had, anywhere. Run to this place to have one, and make the time of you don't have it. It's that freaking good. Service by Hailey was kind and attentive. She was very friendly and helpful as we had to get to a show, the meal was paced perfectly. Can't wait to go back!! HOLY COW I FORGOT THE DEVILED EGGS!! Truffle and bacon deviled eggs. Let that resonate. Literally buying the stuff to make them today so I can have them again.
